An inspiring story
For Leigha Bishop, a preschool teacher in Sugar Land, Texas, it was never a sacrifice to make love gestures. One day she praised her student’s hairstyle, but she did not believe his words. The next day, Bishop’s attitude was as sweet as possible: she went to school with the same hairstyle as the little one.
“She kept her mouth open just looking at me,” Leigha said in an interview for Refinery. “I told her: Did you think I was joking? Now we’re both going to look beautiful together.
Soon after posting the photo on social networks, the teacher began receiving thousands of tastings and comments on how her act was exciting. “It really touched my heart. I can tell you that it meant a lot to her and all the black girls in the United States! “Said one Instagram user.
On Twitter, Bishop, who has been teaching for nearly 7 years, wrote that the school is incredibly diverse and full of different cultures. She also talked about her desire for all the girls to feel beautiful. “It’s paramount for these girls to know they’re important. They have a voice that can be heard, a story that can be told, a heart that can be loved and respected.
