You bet. In this recipe , the presence of cereal gives crispness and, in addition, an extra supply of magnesium , iron, proteins and carbohydrates. Try it as a snack or dessert!
Serves 6 servings
1/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup black raisins
½ cup cooked wheat grains
1 cup chopped strawberries
2 large fuji apples, peeled, seeded, chopped
2 bananas – finely chopped
½ cup coarsely chopped toasted walnuts
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon chopped mint
6 teaspoons whipped cream
Method of preparation
In a glass bowl, combine the orange juice with the raisins and let stand for 15 minutes. Drain and reserve the juice.
In another bowl, put the wheat, strawberry, apple, banana, walnuts and raisins and gently mix. Add the reserved juice with honey and mint and pour over.
Reserve in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving. To give a fresh air, serve in old fashion glasses, decorated with cream and a sprig of mint or mint.
